Welcome                   Author’s Biography
Sally was born one month premature in the 1950’s at the home of the local doctor in northern Wisconsin, a sister to two older brothers. Her father was a lumberjack who worked for a lumber company when she was born that was reminiscent of the old song of selling your soul to the company store, her mother was a waitress who had worked outside the farm since she was thirteen years old, both parents were children of the Great Depression.  The family lived in many places with no modern conveniences moving often to follow her father’s work. Sally learned to love the great outdoors from a very early age, often following her dog along the bear paths.
Sally met and married her husband, David, in Colorado in the 1970’s. She and her husband reared ten children and now enjoy their new time together. Sally and her family lived throughout various parts of the country over the years including a farm in Missouri in the 1980’s, Iowa, Virginia, Idaho, and Washington.
Her talents grew over time as she learned the various arts of farm living and colonial crafts.  These have included sewing, tanning deer and elk hides, leather work, drying and canning various fruits and vegetables, cheese, soap and candle making, quilting, knitting, crocheting, embroider, beading and jewelry making, Indian crafts like Mandela’s and dream catchers, raising farm animals, butchering various wild and domestic animals, hunting, primitive camping, fishing, gardening, and manufacturing items from raw wool prepared and spun at home, etc.

Its just some very strange things had began to happen. On the other side of the world a mad man is in control of the greatest invention in history. This machine can control weather but mostly it creates storms, massive deadly ones. America will pay for its insolence and China will lead the world. Millions will die in its path and the world will never be the same. Then in the middle of the the disasters the Slayers came down out of the mountains their blood lust strong. Will Chrissie and those she knows be able to survive these devastating times?

Down The Hole: The world goes about its everyday pace, a few disasters here and there locally and overseas. All changing our way of life took for the whole country was a large major interruption which dominoes from one thing to another. What would we do without electricity, which runs so many of our modern conveniences? With modern transportation coming to a halt as we run out of gasoline and other fuels we would have to learn to live and work with out going a very far distance again. How would we control the bad segment of society? Would we revert to the lawlessness that once had much of our society in its grip? How would we as families reach each other when we are far form home? Would we pull together to get home and to help each other? Would the winds of war destroy more than land and buildings? Could we possibly relearn the things we need to survive in this new changed world? Can one family in particular pull together with friends and new comers and defeat those that try to destroy them?
