5 Gen. Picture, Recipes

Well here is another April under our belts :).


That didn't seem to take long now did it?


Rained like a son of gun this morning but we have a bit of sun peeking out now and then. 


Dave sprayed the weeds on Saturday I sure hope that gave them enough time to get to dying lol.


Our first great grand baby was born last week on the 26th of April, Jaydah.


We did manage to get a 5 gen. Picture. 


Baby 2 days old, grandma 39 yrs, great grandma 58 yrs, great great grandma 82 yrs.


Here are this weeks recipes.

1958 recipes

Here’s one called:

Apple Nut Pudding
1 well beaten egg
Add: ¾ cup sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Sift together
½ cup flour
½ teasp salt
1 teasp.
Add to egg & sugar, then add:
½ cup chopped nuts
1 cup finely chopped apples
1 teasp almond extract
Mix well. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes in a greased and floured pan 8x8.  When done cut in squares and serve with whipped cream. By Leota D Baird

Quick Oatmeal Fudge
In pot add together:
2 cups sugar
½ cup milk
3 tablesp cocoa
¼ cup margarine
Boil together then remove form heat, add:
3 tablesp quick cooking oatmeal 
1 teasp vanilla
½ cup chopped nuts or coconut
Stir until almost cold. Drop by spoonfuls on a cookie sheet, chill. (Unsighed)

Pineapple Ginger Punch
½ cup sugar
2 cups water
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup grapefruit juice
¼ cup lemon juice
4 cups ginger ale
Boil sugar and water together for 5 minutes: cool. Add fruit juices and chill thoroughly. Just before serving add the ginger ale. Any sweet juice can be substituted for the pineapple juice. One-half cup lemon juice may be substituted got grapefruit juice. 40 servings. By Roxie Parkin
